Nestled right in the heart of “where the heck am I” Virginia, a tiny cabin dream was born. Virginia Backcountry Cabins is a place of community and storytelling centered around 10 individually themed cabins loaded with character…run by characters…patronized by characters. Unpretentious and adventurous, the cabins sit on 135 private acres and back up to thousands of acres of National Forest. A shot of happy, sans jitters.

About Us

From the minds of dreamers who wanted to leave city and corporate life behind, Jeff and Holly welcome you into our forest world. We stepped onto this property in 2024 and knew right away we had found magic in the Allegheny Highlands. With a mile-long creek, fern glades and a shaded hollow, we each saw the future and took off on a full-sprint down the path of insanity. What followed was an outpouring of support and belief in our dream, which we happily share with you.
